Digital transformation and innovation are important as critical drivers of competitiveness. The Deputy Permanent Secretary for Trade and Industry at the Ministry of Finance and Economy outlined the matter at the Opening Ceremony of the BIMP-EAGA Strategic Planning Meeting, on 9th February morning.

Awang Mohammad Harris bin Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, underscored the need to strengthen regional connectivity and supply chains to support sustainable economic growth within the sub-region. The meeting will deliberate on existing Rolling Pipelines of Projects, RPOPs, and identifying RPOPs for the 2026 to 2028 period. The meeting takes place until the 12th of February at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
